This year's last concert on the Mezi vrata club scene will offer a mix of autumn melancholy, indie guitar and electro.
The music project Zapoměls, behind which is the Brno-Jeseni songwriter Aleš Macenauer, captured the Czech alternative scene in 2021 with the album Mésíc ve váz. The original folk aesthetic fades from his second album Jesnou from 2023, and the album shifts to an electronic sound dominated by synths, dance beats and post-punk guitars.
The compositions in the form of collage fragments tell about a night city on fire, over which spaceships fly, about inner blocks into which stars fall, and over which ghosts on the roofs whisper that we will be drunk. Songwriting manuscript transferred to the dance floor of a sad disco. Jesenice melancholy at a party.
