About event
ENDEMIT is a jazzcore band from Brno. The instrumental cast reminds Mötorhead or any other garage slush. The compositions are influenced by the New York downtown and the bands Black Midi, King Crimson or Medeski Martin & Wood. They will mainly perform things from the so far unsurpassed album Salami Tiger (2024), which revolves around the poetics of late-night gas stations and baguettes. The expressive guitarist Vít Beneš, the imaginative bassist Vlado Micenko and the uncompromising drummer Erik Hajtmánek tour punk clubs and jazz festivals, and their authenticity, wit and skill won over almost all listeners.
The band Endemit performed at leading European festivals such as are Jazz Fest Brno (CZ), Jazz Goes to Town (CZ) or Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival (GB-SCT). In August 2024, Endemit performed for the first time in Asia in Mumbai, India as part of the All About Music showcase. In October 2024, the band embarked on a European tour (Poland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic) in support of their third album Salami Tiger.
Vít Beneš - guitar
Vlado Micenko - bass guitar
