About event
We cordially invite you to the concert of our church choir on Friday, November 22, from 7 p.m. in the church of St. Matthew, that is, on the feast day of St. Cecilia, patroness of sacred music.
Solo and choral spiritual songs from the Renaissance to modern times will be heard. The title of the concert "Cantate Domino" (Sing to the Lord) dedicated to St. Cecilia, we celebrate singing and sacred music in general. We will be accompanied not only by the St. Matthew's organ, but also, for example, the Chinese "violin" erhu or accordion. Among the better-known compositions, you can look forward to Monteverdi's six-part "Cantate Domino", the conclusion of Carissimi's oratorio Jephte "Plorate filii Israel" or the song "Ubi caritas" by the contemporary Norwegian-American author Ola Gjeil.
We look forward to you!
