About event
The Havlík brothers with the Clube de Esquiar project will christen their fourth album in Záhrad.
Clube de Esquiar will christen their fourth album entitled “CANÇÕES DE VIAGEM”. The band, which consists of two brothers, Juraj Havlík (guitar, vocals) and Jakub Havlík (drums, vocals) from Banská Bystrica, is characterized as "Post-Brazil" in genre. This term reflects both the time-space situation of the band as well as its stylistic classification. The first aspect refers to the time spent in Brazil, where the brothers drew musical inspiration - elements that they incorporated into their sound after returning home. The second aspect concerns the guitar soundscapes often associated with post-rock, but which are mixed with elements of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), psychedelia, jazz or avant-garde. The lyrics of their songs are mostly poems by the Lisbon author Fernando Pessou, and their concerts are usually completed with live projections by the visual artist Marián Vredík. The violinist Pali Matej, with whom they once formed the band Egreš, will perform among the guests this time, respectively. with whom Juraj also plays in the band Maringotka.
EmptyArray is a musical project by Adam Fiedler, Jakub Havlík and Šimon Ille. They combine elements of jazz, blues, rock, funk and big beat in simple grooves that they use as a space to express their current feelings through improvisation. Each performance is therefore unique in a certain way, as it is freer than the basic forms of bebop, but at the same time more simply composed than free jazz. The aim of the project is to restore the common listener's connection with music as a stream of consciousness, which is constantly in motion through actions and reactions.
