We cordially invite you to a rich musical program featuring excellent bands. You can look forward to the performance of the Austrian guests Motylek Blaskapelle and the Czech bands Muzikanti z zijn Bohemia and Žadovjáci. The music program is free for visitors thanks to the obtained subsidy.
We are happy to announce that the Milevsko House of Culture has managed to obtain a subsidy within the Interreg Austria – Czech Republic program, the People-to-People Small Projects Fund, which deals with the theme of 35 years since the fall of the Iron Curtain. The project supports cultural cooperation between citizens of border regions and strengthens understanding in the cultural, musical and social fields. Thanks to this, we can meet friends from Austria and create an interesting cultural program commemorating important historical events from 1989, which significantly influenced the life of both regions.
As part of the project, the House of Culture prepared a photo exhibition of 35 years without the Iron Curtain , which depicts the period before and after the opening of borders and the establishment of mutual cross-border cooperation between Czechoslovakia and Austria. The exhibition will be on view in the vestibule on the 1st floor of DK until November 17. And it is on this day of the 35th anniversary that the Brass Band Concert will take place. We cordially invite you to a rich musical program featuring excellent bands. After November 17, the exhibition will move to the Austrian city of Karlstift. Here, during the opening, there will be a concert by the Czech band Muzikanti from South Bohemia and also a short lecture about the history of that time.
We thank everyone who participates in this program, and we look forward to shared moments full of social gatherings, music and connecting people from both sides of the border.
