About event
This year we are waiting for the jubilee, 25th edition of the Summer Guitar Festival in Krzyżowa! On this occasion, the special guest will be the excellent Joscho Stephan, a world -famous music star Gypsy Swing, as well as excellent Polish guitarists, including Marek Pasieczny, Mateusz Kowalski and Andrzej Olewiński! ☀️🎸
Summer Guitar Festival is an ideal place for everyone who wants to improve their guitar skills, regardless of age and level of advancement. We invite children and adults, pupils and students, beginners and advanced to participate in guitar courses as part of the festival - all who feel that the guitar is an instrument for them! 🎸
July 26 at 20.00 we invite you to the final concert, at which the festival's artists will perform, winners of the Martinez and Quena competition and the guitar orchestra. The concert will be the culmination and the solemn end of the entire weekly festival. ✨
In the concert program we will hear:
- Marek Pasieczny and Mateusz Kowalski, who together with the guitar orchestra are presenting a new composition of Marek Pasieczny, a suita inspired by Polish national dances,
- Pełech & Horna Duo, i.e. Krzysztof Pełech and Robert Horna,
Martinez and Quena guitar competition,
- The Amusement Music Group under the leadership of Magdalena Czwojda.
About artists:
He performs the present day with extraordinary experts and sense of style. He performed in such important rooms as the Vienna Musikverein or Shanghai Grand Theater, he concerts, among others in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Budapest and London. He is the winner of prestigious competitions in Antony (Paris) and 2nd Eurostrings International Competition (2019, London). He graduated from the Music University of Fryderyk Chopin in Warsaw in the class of Ryszard Bałuszko receiving the Magna Cum Laude medal. He improved his skills during numerous master courses under the direction of outstanding musicians, such as Sergio Assad, Oscar Ghiglia and Alvaro Pierri.
Marek Pasieczny has three Masters’s Degree titles from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland university in Glasgow in Great Britain (composition, performance with distinction) and the Music Academy K. Lipiński in Wrocław (performance with distinction). In 2010, Pasyczny began his doctorate in Australia at Central Queensland University and The Sydney University Conservatorium of Music in the field of execution. In 2012, he returned to Europe by opening a doctorate from the composition at The University of Surrey, London / Guildford in Great Britain. In December 2015 he defended his doctorate-habilitation. As a composer and contractor, the apiary appeared on a total of 36 discs. As a composer and contractor: 14 records, singles, solo EP, 5 albums with chamber music, 3 albums with chamber and symphonic orchestra.
Krzysztof Pełech belongs to the elite of classic guitarists in the world. He toured in such prestigious rooms as, among others: Berlin Philharmonic, NOSPR in Katowice, National Philharmonic in Warsaw, National Forum of Music in Wrocław, CKK Jordanki in Toruń, Victoria Concert Hall in Singapore, Gedung Kesenian Jakart in Indonesia and Bolivar Concert Hall in London. Outstanding composers and guitarists (Tommy Emmanuel, Joscho Stephan, Jorge Morel, Jorge Cardoso, Leszek Możdżer, L.U.C.) invited him to cooperate. For Polish Radio and BBC, he has 17 CDs. Since 2005, he has been conducting a guitar class at the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, where he obtained the title of art professor at the musical art discipline. Is the artistic director of the Summer Guitar Festival.
