Mahadeva kirtan project is a dream project of drummer and percussionist Marek Žilinec, which for him is a mission and desire to bring people another form of quieting the mind, immersion in oneself as well as spiritual practice, which is true for him. Marek is passing on to the project the experience he has gathered on his travels around the world and especially in India, as well as from performing with leading world musicians of this genre such as Kevin James, Hanuman Project or performing in the band SOUNDS OF ISHA, which accompanies the spiritual master Sadhguru. .
MANTRA – translates from Sanskrit as "quieting the mind"
KIRTAN – has different forms, ours is based on the joint singing of mantras, sacred words in Sanskrit, accompanied by singers who pre-sing the text and then people repeat it. It is about singing together, which is accompanied by a live band the entire time. This is not a separate band concert, but a joint concert with people who are directly involved in singing together.
