About event
This year we are waiting for the jubilee, 25th edition of the Summer Guitar Festival in Krzyżowa! ☀️🎸
Summer Guitar Festival is an ideal place for everyone who wants to improve their guitar skills, regardless of age and level of advancement. We invite children and adults, pupils and students, beginners and advanced to participate in guitar courses as part of the festival - all who feel that the guitar is an instrument for them! 🎸
July 25 at 20.30 we invite you to the concert of the excellent Mateusz Kowalski, one of the most famous guitarists of the young generation, who will also give individual lessons during the festival.
Mateusz Kowalski is, according to "Classical Guitar Magazine", a "spectacular" musician, which is a vast repertoire from the Renaissance to the modernity with extraordinary knowledge and a sense style. He performed in such important rooms as the Vienna Musikverein or Shanghai Grand Theater, he concerts, among others in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Budapest and London. He is the winner of prestigious competitions in Antony (Paris) and 2nd Eurostrings International Competition (2019, London). He graduated from the Music University of Fryderyk Chopin in Warsaw in the class of Ryszard Bałuszko receiving the Magna Cum Laude medal. He improved his skills during numerous master courses under the direction of outstanding musicians, such as Sergio Assad, Oscar Ghiglia and Alvaro Pierri.
The young artist also develops pedagogical activities in parallel to the solo career, providing master lessons, including at festivals in Szeged (Hungary), Rust (Austria) and in Qingdao (China). Since October 2019, he has been a lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
