At the beginning of September, Richard Hronský released his third album entitled Pohreb vo dyvádateljský Mappa. In the songs, he works with a lot of field recordings that he started collecting years ago when he was making beats. Many recordings were made in the village, in the house of his grandparents, and he based his latest album on the sounds of one house.
Music columnist Pavel Klusák wrote about the album: "Acoustic drones seem to pick up some atmosphere that hangs in the air and only intensify its resonance. Here we also hear fragments of real rituals, singing and an organ; Richard just quotes them rather than directly following them without distance. It is a very nice personal remix of the situation "I came from here and traditions walked around", somewhat modestly respecting people and demons connecting the past with today."
Richard Hronský (2002) is a transdisciplinary artist, musician and "ambient shepherd" working in the Western Carpathians. He is dedicated to visual arts, drawing, photography, playing the wind instrument and field recording. He released two albums "Konspekt", 2022 & "CLOSURES" Warm Winters Ltd., 2023.
In his live performances, he focuses on the decomposition of the sound of fujara through electronic processing, on its "denationalization" and, together with compositional harmonies and collected field recordings, transforms them into boundless dreamlands. These landscapes mourn the sorrows of the world, reveal intimacy through nostalgia and frozen memory, but at the same time invite contemplation and silence.
