Dear friends,
we cordially invite you to an exceptional and unique evening, during which two Amazon tribes - Huni Kuin and Yawanawa - will join their forces. Together they will guide us to a benefit ceremony with sacred medicine rapé. It is sacred medicine from Amazon, prepared from crushed tobacco MapAcho and other plants, such as herbs, bark or ash of special trees. Mapacho is a strong type of tobacco with a high content of nicotine and beneficial substances, different from conventional tobacco used in cigarettes. The mixture is dried, gently grinds and is applied to the nose using handmade blows (heartbeat, kuripe).
Rapé has a spiritual and treatment in traditional use. It is believed that it helps open the senses, cleans energy centers, promotes concentration and deepens the connection with nature and the spiritual world. It can also support physical and emotional cleansing and relieve illness or accumulated negative energy.

Shane, an exceptional singer from the village of Chico Curumim, is the oldest son of the local chief. He has been studying traditional wisdom and sacred songs from his people since his early age. It focuses on working with sacred songs Huni Meka, which has been an integral part of Huni Kuin culture for centuries and perceived as a sacred language of spirit.
These songs play a key role in traditional ceremonies. Shane not only sings, but also captures the importance of these songs through painting, transmitting their deep symbolism to the canvas. Yaka is an important voice of native nations, supports unity between different villages along the Jordão River and advocates the preservation of traditional culture and customs.
