About event
Concert to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II
Corps and the State Opera Orchestra together with soloists Michaela Šebestová, Martin Popovič and Andrej Vancel led by conductor Ján Procházka brings a concert in which the choir will play the main role and solo. His dramaturgy is made up of musical numbers reflecting the theme of war, struggle, or desires for freedom. For example, there will be a triumphant march from the Aida opera, a choir of soldiers from the Trubadur Opera, a military choir from Gounod's Faust, a choir from Janáček's opera her pastor all of them, Bojni, is fighting, whether they belong to Opress from Verdi's MacBeth. There will also be parts of works from Slovak composer's work: Suchoňová Krútňava, Dusík's Potter's Ball or an excerpt from Cikker's Jánošík. It is also an appeal for the protection of human life and a celebration of peace. Nouzovský

Main Zbormajster: Iveta Popovičová
