Jozef Lupták
/ cello /
is the founder and artistic director of the Konvergencie festival.
He graduated from the conservatory and VŠMU in Bratislava and continued his studies at Royal Academy of Music in London (R. Cohen) and the Banff Center for Arts in Canada (A. Parisot, E. Meyer, T. Tsutsumi).
He is one of the artists shaping the musical and cultural space in Slovakia, for which he several awards were given.
He made many CD recordings (including Bach's Suites for solo cello, Brahms's sonatas, premieres of works by V. Godár, 6 Bratislava concerts by J. Iršai, crossover projects After Phurikane, Chassidic Songs, Lullabies or his own work on CD Free in One) . He regularly performs on international stages from the USA to New Zealand.
As a sought-after and active chamber player, he collaborates with a number of leading world artists and ensembles as well as with important conductors. He regularly conducts master classes abroad (Italy, Hungary, USA, England) and organizes educational projects under the title Convergences in Slovakia as well (master classes, international chamber music courses). Since the establishment of the Marián Varga Company in 2017 he is its executive chairman.

as a graduate of the Žilina Conservatory (Anton Pittner) and the University of Performing Arts (Marta Szökeová), he started an international career successes in competitions, especially the victory in Andrezieux-Boutheon r. 1987. In the 1990s, he already became one of the established Slovak performers, with regular concert and recording activities.
Boris Lenko represents a rare type of versatile musician with a range from classical repertoire, contemporary serious music, through various crossover projects to jazz. He introduced several innovative elements to the accordion repertoire in the Slovak context, especially by presenting the works of important personalities of the post-war American and European scene.
He regularly performs at contemporary music festivals - the Evenings of New Music and the Melos-Étos festival. In In 2001, he was the first accordionist in the history of the Bratislava Music Festival to give a full-length recital. He became a pioneer in presenting the works of A. Piazzolla in Slovakia, r. In 2001, he founded the chamber ensemble ALEA (accordion, violin, piano, double bass), focusing on the interpretation of Piazzolla's music. In recent years, Lenka's fascination with Argentine tango has resulted in collaboration with Peter Breiner in the extremely successful Triango project.
