Konektiv Night: Jurij Nikelsky & Obelisk of Light + další

For the second year, Konektiv joins forces with Terén to present brand new musical collaborations on the CED Cellar Stage, mixing the diverse genres and cultures from which the individual musicians come. This radical fusion of diverse creative approaches allows for the exploration of exciting and unexpected results, while at the same time symbolizing an unequivocal rejection of prejudice against foreigners and members of minorities.

Ukrainian musician Yuriy Nikelsky, mastering an impressive range of ethnic wind instruments, combined with contemplative and intense ambient layers of Jan Kašpar, performing under the pseudonym Obelisk of Light. Creative curiosity and brooding electronic surfaces will be combined in the collaboration between violinist and koto player Anna Romanovska, known for her penchant for improvisation, and Russian sound artist performing under the name Rlung. The sacral drones and soaring vocals of the Slovak artist Adriána Vančová, aka timmi, intersect with the lyrical oud tones of the Jordanian-Palestinian versatile artist and musician Husam Abed.
