The progressive social forces long for changes and development have been in a certain conflict with the forces of conservative forces longing for the status of quo and the time of the verified legacy of our ancestors; Both counterparts have a great sense of developing our society - without progressivists we would not move too much, while without conservatives we would easily accept changes that we can damage. I consider various movements for or against progress or new social order, where people of similar minds are voluntarily associated, I consider a breeding ground for healthy civilization; Unfortunately, problems - as always - come when these streams of opinion begin to try to grasp state power and force through it to force their view of the world to those who do not consider it.
Without state interventions would be conservative Even progressiveists were not forced to finance the propaganda of the other party and be exposed to it (often through the state education already working for children). In the hands of the state, however, every ideology has a certain potential to lay a new totalitarianism; Thus, the conservatives (rightly) are afraid of the obligatory imposition of LGBT values, while progressive players, for example, violence or state oppression towards Trans people (no less rightly). Both groups feel threatened; And they perform according to the stronger feelings of threat to their counterparts. Increasing tension can be observed in virtually all Western democracies. What about it? Is it even possible to stop this? We believe in peaceful solutions; That is why we organize a conference aimed at contributing to a closer understanding between the two camps. Interesting and progressive speakers with various topics from Cancel Culture to minorities will perform; And of course libertarians appealing to non -state solutions. We want to emphasize the search for common solutions; Not for further deepening of already enough deep ditches. Roman Joch - publicist and political commentator,
