About event
🟢 We invite you to a conference whose main goal is to dispel uncertainties surrounding the topics of gender, relationship and sexual orientation in the school environment. What topics should be included in the teaching? What are facts and what are myths? A day full of lectures and workshops will offer data from research and practical experience from Czech schools.
🟢 The conference is organized by the Coalition for Diversity in Schools in cooperation with the Faculty of Education of the UK.

🟢 Teachers and school management, staff of counseling workplaces, representatives of founders and school institutions, including the Ministry, are welcome education, students of pedagogical faculties and non-profit organizations. The patronage of the conference was granted by the government commissioner for human rights, Klára Šimáčková Laurenčíková.

🎓 Block 1: How LGBT+ youth benefit in Czech society and especially in schools
Research data will offer arguments why it is important for schools to deal with the topic of sexual, relational and gender diversity. In the panel discussion, real stories from Czech schools will be heard in the context of the presented data.
🎓 Block 2: LGBT+ topics in Czech schools – unexcused absence
We will take a closer look at how far Czech schools are in gender and relational issues and sexual diversity work and what barriers the teachers themselves encounter. We will discuss how the topic fits into the framework educational programs.
🎓 Block 3: School atmosphere and relationships in the classroom at a premium
Practice view - we will offer experience on how to solve situations and work with the atmosphere of individual classes . We will deal with the possibilities of including the topic not only in teaching, but also in classroom lessons. workshops
