About event
The contexts of the city are the Wave format - the center of independent culture in Prešov, which has been exploring and transforming the public space of the city for 5 years through artistic interventions. Every year they bring new works and performance that reveal relations between urbanism, social interactions and collective memory. In 2025, the event bears the subtitle of the Sediments of the Strawberry City - referring to the layering of stories, identities and meanings in our city. (Wave interior)

Erik Síkora (*1986) - Intermedia artist, performer, Oskar Čepan Award (2019). The work of a long nose is a 20-meter textile object as a playful symbol of curiosity and a metaphor of wrong. Performance Pharmacon transforms old spells into resistance to violence. SOIL SOIL SOUNDS 2 SONIFIES SONIFY soil moisture and creates an acoustic map of the environment. It exhibits interior in Wave. In 2021 he defended his dissertation work at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica. In artistic theory, he focuses on institutional fragmentation by posthumanistic theories of the object and corporeality. He was teaching at the Institute of Music and Fine Arts of the University of Prešov as a professional assistant and curator of the Regional Gallery in Prešov. Currently, the city curators of the public premises of the town of Prešov.
