w/ Kontraire + Komodo Fox & Polaroit
KONTRAIRE< br/>After two EPs that were characterized by uncompromising self-knowledge and painful conflict, it can be said: Contraire have sorted themselves out. As if they had gradually put together the scattered pieces of a shattered worldview and developed a clear view out of overwhelming confusion. In the new songs they convey more directly than ever what oppressive performance expectations and social pressure can do to a person. Exposed in a world that sets infinite growth as its maxim and constantly forces itself to compare with others. From an introspective perspective, counterparts speak bluntly about an inner life that oscillates between resignation and resilience. Just scream out your doubts or swallow your frustration again? The band gives space to these feelings with their music. A space in which the repressed can come to the surface and be let out ruthlessly.
Kontraire sound more straightforward, more determined and more powerful than ever before, but do not lack any of the theatricality. The band explores the limits of the rock trio and creates a sound that is voluminous and big. The well-known bursting riffs mix with a refreshingly versatile dynamic. Texts in which melancholic gravity simmers are carried by a singing that floats imploringly above the dense network of sounds and often breaks out into moments of screaming anger. Kontraire remain true to their dark seriousness and depth of content.
KOMODO FOX
With high energy, catchy melodies and a dark sound, KOMODO FOX speaks about society, humanity, the present and the Future. The band returned from a self-organized German tour in early 2022 for their first EP “Year Zero” with lots of great stories to tell and a lot of enthusiasm to record new music. With their next EP, the band turns up the DIY meter because all the songs were written, produced and recorded by the band themselves. This time they delve deeper into what they describe as a "modern stoner" sound, drawing more influence from QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979 and ROYAL BLOOD.
POLAROIT
If you listen to Polaroit, you might think that she is a stubborn hermit who prefers to hide from those around her. They don't do that at all. The four friends from Hildesheim do what they love most. With a lot of sweat, dedication and passion. This danceable mix of emo, pop and punk has a lot of energy and invites you to toast and celebrate more than to cry.
