This year marks the 25th anniversary of the issue debut album Resist, which catapulted Kosheen onto the international stage. Although the band is not planning an anniversary tour or a specially conceived "25 years of Resist" concert, this anniversary naturally recalls the power of the album, which became one of the key titles of the turn of the millennium. For frontwoman Sian Evans, it is a personal and artistic milestone that still resonates with fans and music media today. As the band Kosheen regularly holds concerts in the Czech Republic, this year will be no different. The band will play its only open-air performance here this year, on June 11 on the big stage in Areál 7 (Prague 7) as part of the Prague Open Air concert series.
It will be a separate open air evening with a full-scale production and an energetic live show. At the same time, the Czech Republic has long been one of the strongest fan bases of the band, which has been active on the British scene for more than a quarter of a century. Kosheen's music is characterized by a combination of breakbeat, drum'n'bass and rock dynamics with the expressive and emotional vocals of Sian Evans. It was the combination of electronic energy and strong songs that brought the band success on the British and European charts and ensured it a solid place among the respected names of the electronic scene. This will be the only opportunity for fans to experience Kosheen in the open air this year in the Czech Republic.
