We cordially invite you to the Cestou necesto travel festival in the Košice Kulturpark, where a truly unique evening awaits us for the first time! We will go with Michal Tlelk and Sofia Bočeva to cross the main part of the Himalayas on foot, which this couple completed only recently. Pakistan, India, Nepal... 215 days and 3616 km!

18:00 Katarína “Nana” Naništová – New Year in Bali
The New Year in Bali has nothing in common with the New Year as we know it - not even the date. It is accompanied by several days of rituals and ceremonies, each of which has its own meaning. You will learn about everything connected with the departure of the old and the arrival of the new year in a short presentation by the traveler Katarína Nana Naništová.
18:40 Michal Tlelka and Sofia Bočeva – Great Himalaya Trail – Part 1- Pakistan and India
The first continuous foot crossing of the main part of the Himalayas from Pakistan through India to the very east of Nepal! And who is "on his conscience?" 🙂
Michal has been traveling for 12 years as a punk (with sleeping bag and mat) everywhere in the world, e.g. Bolivia, Chile, tent-states, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh. He has completed two long treks: the path of the SNP heroes and Santiago de Compostella (1000 km). This GHT travel project is its biggest so far.
Sofia has been guided to travel by her parents, from a young age. She experienced her first sleeping bag adventure abroad with Michal in the Faroe Islands in 2021, later in Madeira and Sardinia. She didn't even dream about this Himalayan project, and today she is probably the first woman in the world to have made such a crossing.
They walked for 215 days, 3,616 km with an elevation gain of 163,000 meters. Dry mountains, glaciers, jungle, high saddles, humble mountain life and unforgettable encounters with locals. In the first part of the evening, we will start under the legendary Pakistani 8,000 Nanga Parbat and gradually reach India, up to the Nepalese border.

In the second half of the evening, Michal and Sofia will continue their Himalayan story and tell us about the Nepalese part. expeditions.
After 215 days, they ended their journey under the majestic Kanchengoza. But they say..."If you visit the Himalayan kingdom once, it will call you to it forever. "
