Experience the irreplaceable atmosphere of the night center of Košice and look into the nooks and crannies of leading art institutions as well as lesser-known galleries and museums in the historical monument reserve of the city! 🏛️
The Košice Night of Museums and Galleries, an annual evening show of art and culture, will really surprise you this year with an imaginative theme and a tailor-made program: Expect the unexpected! Already on May 16, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to midnight, all festival participants will fully enjoy the 22nd year of the event in lively night streets with unique exhibitions, a playful accompanying program for young and old, and especially the excitement of discovering unknown art. 🎭
As in previous years, visitors will also appreciate unique workshops, exhibitions and creative activities for children in leading city institutions, such as the East Slovak Museum, the East Slovak Gallery, the Slovak Technical Museum, the Vojtech Löffler Museum and Košice Cultural Centers. A total of up to 26 locations will offer participants a rich cross-section of diverse areas, such as contemporary art, science, technology, sports, sacred urban structures, architecture, astronomy, pharmacy, theater, traditional crafts and historical literature and the press. Interesting news will also be the newly renovated Urban tower, the design MarathonPoint and the exceptional Museum of Ateliers vila Mathé.
