Kosmonauci describe themselves as a boy band with jazz roots and have been creating together since high school. He deftly mixes polyrhythmic structures with captivating melodies, ease of improvisation with craft perfectionism, hip-hop with jazz. Poland born and Berlin based musicians develop their own musical language in an unconventional composition of vibraphone, saxophone, bass guitar and drums.
After the debut record Sorry, nie tu, the new album Brudna, bielizna is released on April 3, promising another experimental journey, but this time more anchored in the jazz tradition and honed by hundreds of hours played together.
"The question of whether music needs Polish jazz is similar to the eternal debate about whether science needs philosophy. In both cases, the answer cannot be unambiguous or obvious - so reads: I don't know.' Sensei Dżakba
Organized by ARCHA+ in co-production with Landmine Alert.
