About event
Enter the body and emotional landscapes where the bodies are joined and surrounded by constant invincibility.
Epiclogue brings beginnings, experiences stories and creates new myths. Through the concept of invincibility, the art duo attempts to define space for the Queer body as strong, visible and dominant. Performance seeks to disrupt the limiting ideas of Queer's body and responds to the experience of Queer existence in CIS-HETERONormative society. Intimate meetings in which bodies through love, care and confidence find courage and will. Ibsen and Bjørk-Mynte Paulse
performers: Jonathan Ibsen and Bjørk-Mynte Paulse Steen
co-production: Bærum Kulturhus, Dansit and Bit Teatergarasjen Norwegian Arts Council, The Danish Arts Foundation, Fritt Ord, Oslo Kommune, FFUK, Augustinus Fonden, Nordic Culture Fond, Pahn-Performing Arts Hub Norway
Jonathan Ibsen. Our artistic interest consists of questioning and viewing social standards. Through the perspective of trans women of other skin color and white homosexual man, we are exploring the world in which we live in, and we try to plant questions of gender, sexuality and identity in a wider context. With openness and untamed aesthetics, we focus on topics that touch all of us. Our ambition is to address, question and create space for dialogue through choreography and staging reality. Our practice is based on curiosity and arises at the intersection of dance, theater and installation. We strive to create arts that are not afraid to open urgent topics. Our aim is to break down barriers and promote a deeper understanding of complex dynamics that shape our identities and society. Our work invites viewers to think and talk about structures that define and restrict us-and try to open new perspectives and possibilities.
