Kovacs / Stadsschouwburg

Sharon Kovacs broke through with hits such as 'My Love' and 'Diggin' and shortly afterwards performed at festivals such as Lowlands, Glastonbury and North Sea Jazz. Her dark, raw voice made an international impression and evoked comparisons with greats such as Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse and Beth Gibbons. We are now three albums further, with 'Child Of Sin' the last in the line, an impressive collaboration with Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann and the prelude to her new work that she will play during this concert.

For 'Catharsis' she went in search of her higher powers. For the first time, Kovacs will not only express her art vocally, but also physically engulf the spectators. In this way she creates a cathartic, compelling performance in which soul is reduced to its essence; music from the soul.
