🗣 November's double lecture on progressive landscape architecture called The Magic of V-Wilding from the series Kra/jiná will present Randal Plunkett, a descendant of the Irish Dunsany family, and Dalibor Dostál, director of the conservation company Česká krajina, founded in 2015 in collaboration with Czech scientists.
Randal Plunkett, Lord Dunsany, is an award-winning Irish director, producer and active supporter of ecology and veganism. As the holder of one of the oldest noble titles in Ireland and the heir to the family seat, Dunsany Castle, which he has managed since 2011, he is intensively dedicated to the restoration of nature on the extensive grounds of the family estate. Since 2014, he has been working to create Ireland's largest private nature reserve, covering 1,700 acres, restoring native flora and fauna. He collaborates with a number of organizations and research institutions, and his approach to ecology and landscape restoration makes him a pioneer of fun and innovative environmental practice.
Dalibor Dostál heads a unique reserve of large ungulates, which was created in a former military area Milovice in the Central Bohemia region. The reserve, which has faced pressures for liquidation since its inception due to its attractive location near cities and the highway, aims to inspire society to change its approach to the environment and encourage active participation in a more sustainable future. On an area of 350 hectares, which makes it the largest reserve of its kind in the Czech Republic, it protects a landscape of natural value, which is significant for its preservation and biodiversity.
⚪️ Lecture by a foreign guest will be interpreted into Czech.

Randal Plunkett, Lord Dunsany, is an award-winning Irish filmmaker, producer, and active advocate for ecology and veganism. As the holder of one of Ireland's oldest noble titles and heir to the family estate, Dunsany Castle, which he has managed since 2011, he has been dedicated to restoring the vast lands of his family's estate. Since 2014, he has been working on creating Ireland's largest private nature reserve, covering 1,700 acres, by reintroducing native flora and fauna. His work involves collaboration with numerous organizations and research institutions, and his innovative approach to ecology and landscape restoration positions him as a pioneer of creative and engaging environmental practices.
Dalibor Dostál leads a unique large herbivore reserve located in the former military zone of Milovice in the Central Bohemian Region. Since its establishment, the reserve has faced ongoing pressure due to its attractive location near towns and highways, but its aim is to inspire society to rethink its approach to the environment and to encourage active participation in a greener future. Spanning 350 hectares, making it the largest reserve of its kind in the Czech Republic, it protects a valuable natural lowland that has remained largely intact, contributing significantly to biodiversity conservation.
