legendary smuggler Josef Hasila, referred to as State Security as King of Šumava. The mysterious hero of the deep Šumava forests helped from the Communist Czechoslovakia to the West of Dozens, including mothers with children, which he was able to convert through the marshes to Germany. Although it was unveiled and imprisoned once, he soon escaped from the camp to return as an agent of the US CIC news service, today's CIA. How did he perceive his mission smugglers? Why did he have to leave the girl he loved? And how does one of those who have saved his life see him? The film is framed by the exclusive testimony of Josef Hasil himself, which was recorded by filmmakers in the US shortly before his death in 2019. The action and romantic story of the legend of smuggling comes to life through a rotoscopic animation (known for example from Alois Nebel). which is unpredictable and mystical landscape of Šumava. The riveting film enters cinemas on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Hasil's birth. 🌲
