About event

✨ On August 22, another annual historical event awaits us in Vyšehrad. This year is exactly 940 years since the coronation of the first Czech king Vratislav II. It was he who, together with his wife Svatava Polska, turned Vyšehrad into a symbol of the power of the Přemyslov family. King Vratislav II will come to the Royal Precinct in the Vyšehrad Gardens as part of the event. twice, accompanied by his large entourage. In addition to his ceremonial welcome, visitors can expect a troupe parade, battle demonstrations and the opportunity to involve their children in medieval training. The royal precinct in Vyšehrad will be transformed into a medieval camp and a place for many period crafts for the whole day.
