Křest básnické sbírky VENKOV

Baptism of the new collection of poems by Petr Šmíd VENKOV. The poet and literary comparatist Jakub Vaněk will moderate. The VENKOV collection was published by the Good Reason publishing house in the summer of 2026. The publisher's annotation says: "All this is somewhat foreign to us." From the opening motto of his new book, Petr Šmíd introduces us to the world of the shovel and the close relationship with the soil that lasted from the beginning of human history until a few decades ago. Since then, we actually stop understanding such a world. The calm timelessness that accompanies such a life at first glance can also be full of cruelty and evil from a closer look. https://www.kosmas.cz/knihy/571281/venkov/?srsltid=AfmBOootW3zk3h6r_HOCSoQBKTpaQ4vyRnr5ikHSLBdt9zkMCFqMu8nH
