The book From Now On Everything Will Be Beautiful is the first monographic publication of Jiří Thýn, the most prominent representative of the post-conceptual wave in Czech art photography of the 21st century. It maps his responses to the inflation of technical images and traces his gradual shift away from the narrative nature of the photographic image to an exploration of photography as a means of contemplative and immediate creative act. In his work, Thýn often uses existing photographs and significantly shifts them with his interventions. As part of the monograph, he was invited to recycle his own photographs, in which he will apply his own creative methods. Together with the graphic designer Adéla Svobodová, he selected and arranged the reproductions as a non-verbal structure in which the past is glimpsed through contemporary eyes – as a communication between images that have come together from distant positions in time, during which never-before-seen, electrifying encounters can occur.
