New Tiktok Trend: What Would You Advis Your Young Self?
What does a girl look like? What should a woman look like? And how can you know? Primarily it is not about writing, but the gathering of the tracks of a certain phase of life. The diary records, "counts" or e -mails caught from the memory of the old mobile phone from pubescent abbreviation, naivety or kitschy lead to experienced pain.
Magdalena Kašparová (1993) is a multimedia artist, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In his work, he turns to personal memory with which he works through (compulsively collected) period artifacts, pop -cultural trends, but also of periodic communication channels (SMS, MMS, Facebook, Snapchat). It uses means of remediation and media archeology. In author's videos like My 00’s Diary (2020) or Storytime (2021), it takes over the convention of the Vlog; The project of personal archeology presented in the form of site-specific installation and website. In the book mainly I look forward to dreams, through text records and video collages, returns to its experience with eating disorder that has been hospitalized in Motol Hospital.
