About event
👉 Arrival 15.10. to the theater hall of the Rock Café club for the launch of the short story book To the Border purely about people fleeing from different corners of Africa and Asia to Europe. Based on real stories that we collected in the field and compiled over two years.
🌍 We will not only break champagne, but also debate about migration, the creation of the book and the current situation on the route. Together with Jakub Szantó, the editor of CT who focuses on the Middle East, or writer and Médecins Sans Frontières Stanislav Havlíček.
And who are the authors of the book?
🎻 Vojta is a scientist, journalist and enthusiastic violinist. In addition to the Palacký University, where he is now researching aid to developing countries, he also studied at the University of Edinburgh. He investigated or wrote reports in various corners of the world, including the war-torn Eastern Ukraine, the Western Sahara or the Tanzanian countryside.
🥾Cuba is a humanitarian worker and traveler. He worked with refugees on Bosnian streets, in Serbian border squats, but also in official detention camps on the Greek island of Lesbos.
