How can fantasy stories help teens deal with anxiety, insecurity, or a sense of belonging? And why do young people sometimes find it easier to talk about themselves through the stories of Katniss, Geralt or Lyra than "directly"?
We cordially invite you to the launch of the new book by psychotherapist and social worker Johana Růžková YOU ARE THE HERO OF YOUR LIFE, which connects the world of contemporary fantasy literature with topics of adolescent mental health.
The book responds to the growing psychological discomfort of young people and opens up topics anxiety, self-harm, relationship problems, bullying, low self-esteem or the search for one's own identity. Through well-known stories from the worlds of the Hunger Games, The Witcher, Divergence or His Dark Essence, it helps teenagers better understand themselves and find their own sources of strength, support and hope.
📖 The book will be presented by the author Johana Růžková, a Dasein-analytical psychotherapist and social worker.
🍾 The godmother of the book will be Petra Wünschová, founder and director of the LOCIKA Center, which has been helping children at risk for a long time domestic violence and supports healthy and safe relationships in families.
The book will be available at the venue with the usual 20% discount.
