We cordially invite you to the second year of Christian meditations.
The Christian meditations will be held under the auspices of the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren under the leadership of Mgr. Johany Miriam Vorlové.
The number of places is limited to 16 participants and 10 substitutes. Therefore, we ask serious interested parties to fill out a short questionnaire and read the basic information.

These are meditations based on the Christian tradition of desert fathers and mothers. We will be based on the inspiration of the Christian rediscoverer John Main, who revived this spiritual practice in the 1970s. Through his regular meditation practice, John Main soon learned that the morning and evening discipline of meditation keeps one balanced all day, every day of one's life, in ever-deepening joy and peace. He also increasingly perceived the connection between experiencing inner joy and peace with the teachings of the Gospel and the Christian faith. He suddenly realized that prayer is much more than just talking to God or thinking about Him, that it means being with God.
Meetings for Christian meditations will be held throughout the week from August 24 to 30, 2026, meditations will take place in the morning from 8:00 a.m. and in the evening from 8:30 p.m. every day. From the point of view of continuity, it is important that the participants are willing to devote time to meetings in the morning and in the evening. (If your work schedule does not allow you to come at one of the times, you can individually agree that you would only come for morning or evening Christian meditation).
Christian meditations will take place outside in the garden in the inner block at Čajkovského 10 in Prague 3. In case of rain, spaces will be provided inside in II. the choir of the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren in Žižkov (i.e. at the same address). Please bring your own mat for sitting.
