About event
📽️ 🎞️ With the motto "Movies for witnesses are cool" we start in our summer cinema on the waterfront to project digitized and restored films from the Gold Fund of the National Film Archive. The line is started by the interwar classic Kristian!
🌙 In September 1939, the social comedy Kristian premiered. To this day it is one of the most popular Czech films. Oldřich Nový in the double role of a charming lover and a timid official who gave the main attributes of his acting personality is due to his popularity. The new plays a somewhat everyday, married employee of the travel agency Alois Novák, who, however, visit the luxury bar once a month, playing the world seducer Kristian. But from ladies enchanted by his charming appearance and gallant performing, however, he always flees at the most promising moment. The expressive performance of the new one made the leading domestic film Star and at the same time confirmed the talent of director Martin Frič. He and his colleagues were based on the screenplay from the French theater play by Yvan Noého, which in the mid -1930s was a great success in the theater in Prague's Vinohrady. Although the screenplay was designed primarily to the acting of Naturel Oldřich Nový, for a long -term inclined to fine French humor, it is leaving the actor's equally famous colleague Adina Mandlová and Natas Gollová. Gollová portrayed the beauty of a higher society in the theater production. In the film adaptation, on the other hand, she was given the role of the hero's sprayed wife. An inherent part of the comedy classics based on ingenious dialogues and casual performances of the three is also Slow-Fox just for today's day. In the minds of Czech spectators, the song settled as firm as some of Kristián's replicas, such as "Close eyes. I leave."
