ENOUGH KAFKY?!
I didn't offer myself. If you use me for sacred purposes, I will like that too. (FK)
The past year was marked by the celebration of the centenary of the death of Franz Kafka. A number of conferences, exhibitions, theater, film and television adaptations took place, Kafka's photogenic face entered children's literature and computer games. As part of attempts to debunk the myth of the pensive and traumatized hypochondriac, we have seen Kafka gardening, playing sports, traveling or enjoying pornography. What and how should we remember Kafka's work? What of it still resonates and what remains hidden? Why do we need to keep snooping around in biographical events? And what fascinates us about metamorphoses?
