The Thursday day of the Steps of Understanding program will be about movement, senses, space and outdoor discovery.
Under the guidance of a sensory integration therapist and a special educator, we will prepare activities that support the perception of one's own body, balance, coordination, orientation in space and the processing of sensory stimuli. The outdoor environment will give children a natural space for movement, exploration and shared experiences with their parents.
Children discover the world with their whole body. Through movement, touch, balance, the search for security in space and contact with the environment, they can better recognize their possibilities, react to stimuli and experience success at their own pace.
A small snack in the form of pizza will also be part of the day, which will bring another moment together and space for natural sharing.
What the child can experience:
movement outside, sensory stimuli, balance, coordination, exploring their own bodies, joint play, orientation in space and safe discovery in a supportive environment.

Program Steps understanding is a summer support program for children and parents. It is also open to families with children with disabilities, ASD, NKS or a higher need for support.
The parent is part of the program so that he and the child can experience activities that promote understanding, security, contact and joint discovery.
Sensory integration in the outdoors is one part of the whole week. In the following days, music therapy, outdoor occupational therapy, art therapy from natural materials, Snoezelen, sensory games, practical tips for parents and the production of simple aids await us. You can register only on Thursday, choose other days according to your family's needs, or complete the whole week.
