Bagal, illustrator Ivana Šáteková and godmother Daniela Kapitáňová, we cordially invite you to her baptism, which will take place on Sunday 15.12. 2024 at 17:00 in Bratislava's Old Market.

ABOUT THE BOOK
After six years, the renowned aphorist, publicist and winner of the Ivan Kraska Award Tomáš Ulej comes with a new collection of aphorisms.

In the collection Zas píš Ulej remains faithful to his themes - love and relationships, but also society, modern times and the search for connections between words and their meanings - which sometimes reveal, sometimes try to cover.

The collection Zas písh is after the successful books Ale, Bodaj bi! and Žuvot Ulejova fourth in the order.

THEY SAID ABOUT THE WORK OF TOMÁŠ ULEJ

"Tomáš Ulej managed to significantly enrich the current form of the Slovak epigram and aphorism, not only by reflecting today's digital culture , but also achieve its aesthetic value in brevity and insularity." (M. Kekeliaková)

"Tomáš Ulej enriches our traditional attacking humor with wit and nobility and opinion." (Tomáš Janovic)

"The strikingness of the ideas is underlined by the very names of the aphorisms. They reveal the essence that the aphorism hides. It is very real and probably familiar to many people from real life. Ulej deals with politics, love, Slovakia, people and life as such." (Barbora Belovická)

His aphorisms are an expression of the world of the young generation, unencumbered and not solving the problems of major contemporary events, but playing with the paradoxes of life individual." (Miro Tížik)

"Ulej's aphoristic and epigrammatic talent is comparable to that of Janovic, and at the same time nice that Ulej is not his epigone, but on the contrary, he enriched the aphorism and epigram with completely different dimensions that reflect the current postmodern and digital age and are akin to the legacy of the Czech underground with a certain degree of decadence. (Monika Kekeliakova)
