"This satirical and grotesque novel was completed in October, 1924." That's how Josef Váchal, in his precision, wrote it down in the edition of the Bloody novel: that's why we want to commemorate this work in October. The bloody novel is one of the author's best-known works and as such has received a number of adaptations and as such has also received a number of adaptations: theatre, film, opera, puppetry. During the three evenings to mark the 100th anniversary of the novel's publication, we would like to present some of them and offer those interested in Váchal's work the opportunity to experience them from different approaches to processing his material.

Hana Klínková will lead a screening of theatrical adaptations from the 80s and 90s of the last century and a discussion with people who were present and participated in their creation and filming.
