We present the new course "How to understand a teenager", which will take place on November 15, 2025 in Bratislava (9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.).
In the course you will go through 7 modules: brain changes, puberty, digital world, relationships, emotions, communication and practical parenting strategies. You will get tools, advice and exercises from real life.
Interactive format, lecturers with extensive experience.

How to understand a teenager
Aim: To provide participants with practical tools and knowledge to better understand and support teenagers during puberty. The training combines theory with interactive exercises, discussions and real-life examples.
Module 1: Brain Adventure
Content: Basics of brain development in teenagers, how it affects behaviour, decision-making and emotions.
In practice, they will learn:
Recognize the difference between impulsive and planned behaviour.
Use simple strategies to support concentration and decision-making.
Practical exercises for empathy and understanding of a teenager's perspective.
Module 2: Storm of changes – Puberty and the body
Content: Overview of bodily and hormonal changes during puberty, their impact on the psyche and self-confidence.
They will practically learn:
How to support a teenager in accepting his own body.
Recognize normal vs. problematic changes and how to talk about them openly.
Interactive exercises on self-worth and body awareness.
Module 3: Digital universe
Content: The impact of digital media, social networks and the online world on young people.
They will learn practically:
Recognize the positive and negative impacts of the digital world.
Set healthy digital boundaries and rules.
Simulations and discussions about online safety and responsibility behavior.
Module 4: Relationship maps
Content: Friendships, family relationships, partner foundations and social skills.
They will learn practically:
Identify different types of relationships and conflict situations.
Techniques supporting healthy boundaries and respect in communication.
Exercises to strengthen trust and active listening.
Module 5: Emotional spectrum
Content: Why teenagers they experience emotions, stress management and frustration intensively.
They will practically learn:
Recognize and name emotions in teenagers.
Use methods for stress management and emotional regulation.
Practical games and exercises to strengthen emotional intelligence.
Module 6: Speech, motivation and inspiration
Content: Effective communication, motivation and support of responsibility.
In practice they will learn:
Techniques of active listening and constructive feedback.
Ways to motivate a teenager without pressure.
Practical role-play exercises from everyday situations at home and at school.
Module 7: Parenting map – Education in practice
Content: Integration of all knowledge into everyday parenting practice.
In practice they will learn:
Create realistic and sustainable routines and rules.
Combine support and discipline in an empathetic way.
Interactive planning of "family events" and home strategies.
