The course is led by: prof. MUDr. Tibor Šagát, CSc. and other instructors.
The course is intended for:
- mothers and fathers, future parents, grandparents, kindergarten teachers, teachers, educators, animators, caregivers and everyone who cares for small children and wants to learn more about children's first aid
- maternity centers
For parents, there is nothing worse than when their child's life is in danger. The course for parents will prepare you for how to properly resolve these difficult situations. Keeping a cool head and reacting correctly at the given moment is what we want to teach you on the course.
Theoretical part - lecture:
In the course you will learn about topics such as:
- specifics of first aid for children
- unconsciousness
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- sudden infant death syndrome
- do I need an APNOE monitor?
- the most common injuries in children
- suffocation and child
- burns
- bleeding and shock
- fever, convulsions
Practical part - training:
On the course you will practice activities such as:
- cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the dummy of an infant (child under 1 year) and a junior (child older than 1 year) with a computerized analysis of the quality of execution
- first aid for suffocation on an infant dummy
- control of consciousness and breathing, relaxation of airways
- stop bleeding
- recovery (stabilized) position
- use of AED
- first aid for a fracture
- assessment and resolution of a crisis situation
- activation of the integrated rescue system
