A course in working with leather, from the basics to decorating techniques. The course is suitable for complete beginners and intermediates.
What awaits you?
On Saturday, we will make a belt, on which we will show the basic techniques of leather processing, from cutting and edge processing , through dyeing to the final treatment to the final product.
On Sunday, we will make a cover for a smaller book or diary, on which we will mainly show the basics of leather decoration and sewing.
We will talk also learn about the basic materials used in the handbag craft, what to dye, how to care for the leather, how and what to treat the edges, how to rivet. We will also cover tools suitable for working with leather, including useful tips on where and what to buy. There will also be plenty of leather scraps to try everything on without fear.
Bring good spirits and work clothes you can get dirty, including trousers! The colors we will use usually do not wash very well.
On the course, you will have all the workshop equipment needed to work with leather, the course price includes material for one belt, one cover for a book or a diary and scraps of leather for various experimental small items, such as bracelets, key chains, etc. The price of the course also includes small snacks during the day, coffee, tea... Lunch is not included in the price of the course, please take it with you, or it is possible to use the delivery service .
When: the course is held in two all-day blocks, namely:
Sat - 10-17:00 Working with leather I - from the basics - making a belt
Sun 10-17:00 Working with leather II - continuation - production of book covers, diaries, etc.
The course can only be completed as a whole, i.e. Sat + Sun.
Price for the weekend: 3900,-
The capacity of the course is limited, so we recommend early registration. Your place on the course is reserved after paying the full price of the course. If you cancel at least 14 days before the course, we will refund the entire course fee, if you cancel later, 50% of the workshop price will be forfeited, the other half of the course fee will be refunded to your account.
