About event
Would you like to learn how to paddle properly and learn the correct technique of paddling and turns? Don't you just want to ride on a pond and would you like to try running water? Or are you already riding on flowing water and would you like to take your skills to the next level? If you answered YES to at least one of these questions, then this course, which takes place in Prague's Troja on the lower part of the slalom channel, is exactly for you!
This course is suitable for everyone who knows the basics of riding a paddleboard and is not afraid experience some fun on running water.
The lesson is always for 2 - 6 riders and lasts 90 minutes.
At the beginning, we will talk about the safety rules, how to behave on running water, then we will move over the Troj channel, where I will relax a bit, we will explain how to paddle technically correctly and we will also try some of the turns and inclines that they will come in handy later. Then we will move to the lower part of the Troy channel, where we will learn to cross the current, drive into the current and correctly cross the rapids.
The courses are led by a multiple champion of the Czech Republic on wild and flat water, a medalist from the World Championships in China but mainly an enthusiast who likes to push the limits of Kristýna Babiánková's paddleboarding!
What you need to enjoy the class and everything goes safely:
Sports clothes, but also include a swimsuit (Lycra T-shirts, boardshorts, sports leggings, possibly wetsuits, dry suits)
Furthermore, shoes (The advantage is shoes adapted to the water, some older sports sneakers will also suffice)
As for safety elements such as a helmet and vest, these elements can be rented together with a board and a paddle.
Meeting in front of HG sport at 18:00 already prepared in water clothes.
Price (please pay in cash on site):
900 CZK - includes access to the channel and coaching
1,100 CZK - includes access to the channel, coaching + equipment rental (Board, paddle, vest, helmet)
Alternatively, it is possible to arrange individual lessons if Wednesday does not suit you or you would like to have a course just for yourself😉
It is also possible to arrange a course at another white water channel.
