About event
◯ We unite cultural and artistic students! ◯
KUUMŠT is a week full of cultural content that broadens the horizons of both students and the public, opens up an insight into the artistic environment and creates a foundation for new relationships independent of university affiliation or field.
In the zero year of KUUMŠT, we unite as students of FAD STU, VŠMU and VŠVU and bring a diverse program from discussions to workshops to an informal music program in the form of AVANT. Together, we are looking for breakthroughs, thanks to which we can create a stronger, more resilient community of art students and possible cooperation.
In the 1920s, the students of the School of Arts and Crafts organized a Bauhaus-style event that combined a masquerade ball, craft and theater for one avant-garde evening called AVANT. We referred to this tradition in the parties of the same name, which gradually grew in size until they grew into KUUMŠT, which unites not only architects and designers, but also artists, musicians and theater artists, who were always inseparable and formed a single community.
The academic environment has always been a place of freedom, curiosity and initiative. This is what we want to build KUUMŠT as well. Come and meet your cultural and artistic colleagues with us!
