KVB Boekwerk Seminar: On the way to a more sustainable book trade

From wood pulp to bookshelf: before a paper reaches the hands of the reader and borrower, it has already come a long way. The manuscript goes via the publisher to the designer and typesetter, before being printed and transported to the bookstore and library. This chain has many links: how sustainable are they?

European legislation and regulations are coming that impose new requirements on our production methods and sustainability standards. How far are we? What opportunities are there?

KVB Boekwerk had this investigated by the Keertij agency. During the seminar we will elaborate on the results. And we enter into discussions with various parties in the chain. Because one result is already very clear: sustainability can only be achieved together. The entire chain must get moving.

That is why we give the floor to the publisher, designer, printer, CB, bookstore and library.
