🎵 André Campra was the most important opera composer between Lully and Rameau. The success of L´Europe Galanta in 1697 was a tribute to this founding work of the Opér-Ballet genre, which in opulent divertissement combined dance and opera. Campra takes the work of a work in which Venus insists that love can be found everywhere, a viewer for a journey to in love in Europe. The first entrée (France) is a pastoral image of the volatile love of shepherds. The second entrance is a pair of Quichotan Spaniards who sing their night serenades under the balconies of their lovers.
