About event
Isabelle Beernaert has noted that in all her pieces a mysterious female character dressed in black clothing appears on the scene. This made her realize that there was always a presence of something essential.
In black, all colors are present. The black absorbs. Black is the color of the peace, quiet and darkness necessary for a seed to germinate. A child in the womb is in the dark. Before spring comes, there is winter. Black is pregnant with light.
“People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own souls. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
― Carl Jung, Psychology and Alchemy
The old figure of the Dark Mother is currently returning worldwide in our consciousness. In doing so, she announces an end time, which is at the same time a new beginning. A new time of spiritual evolution, a time when man becomes more aware of the energetic side of Mother Earth.
It is like the deep dark womb of the Dark Mother of the cosmic Beginning. She is first and foremost the Mother of the animated Dark Earth. The dark mother is the dark cosmic womb of light. In her, Dark and Light play together and she integrates them on a collective and individual level. The Dark Mother shows itself in the Black Venus from prehistoric times, in the Black Primordial Mother Mari of the Basques, in the Black Mother goddess Ana of the Celts, in the Eastern Black Goddesses such as Isis, Artemis, Kybele and Venus and finally in Sara, the black matriarch of the Gypsies. The ancient form of the Dark Mother is currently returning to our consciousness worldwide. In doing so, she announces an end time, which is at the same time a new beginning. A new time of spiritual evolution, a time in which humans become more aware of the energetic side of Mother Earth.
This production was made possible with the support of the tax shelter measure of the Belgian Legislator via Flanders Tax Shelter.
