The visionaries of avant-garde music LAIBACH return to Prague after a year and a half to present a completely new concert program. It will be composed of a large number of new songs recorded by the Slovenian icon over the past two years, complemented by some well-known songs from their extensive musical history. Don't miss the unique performance of the giants who have been provoking the entire music world for 45 years.
Laibach comes from the Slovenian town of Trbovlje and has been attracting attention since 1980 with a provocative aesthetic that combines totalitarian symbolism, industrial appeal and conceptual art. Their work often balances on the border between criticism and appropriation of authoritarian elements, which provokes intense debates about the meaning and interpretation of their work.
Musically, Laibach moves mainly in industrial and experimental rock, but over the years they have explored a wide range of styles - from electronics to orchestral arrangements to avant-garde pop. They have also become famous for their unusual reinterpretations of well-known compositions, for example the reworked Let It Be album by The Beatles or monumental versions of folk and pop songs that push the originals into a completely new framework of meaning.
Laibach are also part of the wider artistic collective Neue Slowenische Kunst (NSK), whose activities include visual art, theater and conceptual projects working with themes of identity and national symbolism. Thanks to this interconnectedness, their work goes beyond the boundaries of ordinary music production and also functions as a multi-layered cultural commentary. The group thus gained international recognition not only as musicians, but also as one of the most prominent representatives of European postmodern art.
