Lakomec

The Miser is one of Molière's most famous and most performed works. This master of French and world comedy has captured in the main character of Harpagon the eternal human qualities of unhealthy desires, greed, suspicion and fear. Fear is what controls and deforms us if we succumb to it. Molière's The Miser is not just an unhealthy hoarder. This trait is his disease. Lakota is his religion, worldview and mission. He puts everything he does on his head, including relationships with those closest to him and even love. Molière did not invent The Miser, he captured a type that has always been there among us and will continue to be. He reincarnates, changes clothes, hairstyle, party affiliation, social origin, but nevertheless can be found in every era, in every larger community.

One of the classic French comedies with the comedic role of Harpagon as a tribute to Paul Zedníček on his life anniversary.
