Thanks to Dietmar Schürtz, Filmclub Reinickendorf FCR, Association of Friends of Cinema Toni, Rainer Hässelbarth, Iris Praefke, Dennis Buchner, Berliner Sparkasse, Dave Lojek, all directors and officials
The database for film registration is from October 6th, 2024 to October 18th, 2024 this time activated for our festival.
There are many trophies and certificates (first to third prizes) to be won, including for directing, cinematography, editing, documentary, feature film, experiment, screenplay, best film (overall points) and the coveted audience award.
+ + +
The director's place of residence should be Berlin or Brandenburg (the regional association of this region).
The running length must not generally exceed 20 minutes. Year of creation and secrecy are irrelevant.
Format is mp4 in FullHD.
The film should be self-made (Category A like auteur film) or a student film (Category S), rather than commercially produced.
The festival is aimed at members of the BDFA - Federal Association of German Film Authors. V.
When submitting, the membership number must be stated in the online form accessible to members that fills the database.
From 2024, non-members will be required to pay a mandatory fee of €60 before submitting to our state film festival, as the external films are often good and will be "passed on" to the association's multi-level festival hierarchy. https://www.bdfa.de/festivals/ which requires considerable effort and costs.
It's all free for members. Details: https://bdfa-lvbb.de/filmfest/
Very important! THE PRESENCE OF THE DIRECTOR AND, IF POSSIBLE, THE TEAMS DURING THE ENTIRE FESTIVAL DAY IN ALL PROGRAM BLOCKS AND AWARD CEREMONY IS OBLIGATORY!
The order of the films will be kept secret and will only be published in the program booklet so that the filmmakers can watch all the programs. This is the only way it is fair and respectful when voting for the audience award.
