About event
The Berlin sub-worlds are represented again this year with three locations at the long night of the museums.
The artist group Seafoam Palace transforms the Humboldthain flakturm in their narrative sound and light installation "Roadside Picnic" into a cosmic fragment. In an atmospheric tour, visitors explore a unreal between history and imagination in which the projected world has come out of joint. The performance takes place in small groups from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. as an immersive experience.
[To participate is necessary to book a time window ticket, which is only valid in connection with an event ticket of the Long Night.]
Our history exhibition »Hitler's plans for Berlin: Myth Germania-Vision and Crimes« in the northern subway entrance Gesundbrunnen (U8 input in front of the Gesundbrunnen Center), which the conversion planning of the Reichshop Nazi era and the associated crimes will be opened. Films on the topic are shown all night.
In addition, we can show the special exhibition »The Nordsüd-S-Bahn-Berlin's first railway in the subsoil« of the Berlin S-Bahn Museum in an underground former toilet facility (Behmstraße). The Nordsüd-S-Bahn was created between 1934 and 1939 and, like no other, reflects the eventful German history of the 20th century.
