About event
The music club Music a Cafe from Nitra invites you to a double concert, which it organizes as part of the project Music clubs for the City of Culture of Slovakia 2024. Singer and guitarist Lara Abou Hamdan and the band Cup of Tea, who are among the outstanding young talents on the Slovak music scene, will perform.
Lara Abou Hamdan
Syrian musician Lara Abou found her new home in Slovakia. He studies medicine here and has been involved in music for more than fifteen years. She plays the guitar and has presented her work live not only in Slovakia, but also in the neighboring Czech Republic.
You may know her from her collaborations with Analogrunner, and more are on the way. She collaborated with various Slovak musicians, such as La3no Cubano, FOM, Bobsan, Analogrunner and Zuzana Mikulcová.
The innovative combination of pop, folk and Arabic melodies creates a unique musical experience.

Cup of Tea
Britsko - a band from Piešťan playing a very strange alternative driven by English lyrics and vibe melodies. Sometimes calm / sometimes hard. Their genre multivitamin is reflected with the background of each member: sometimes it's alt-pop, sometimes it's post-punk, here and there LO-FI Folk with a subtle touch of electronica.
